2009 Horseshoe Scramble photos

Photos are up from the Horseshoe Scramble that took place in Wayne, NJ on November 7, 2009. I didn't get any sleep the night before and I had to motor out of there early, so there are no CAT 1 Men's photos. Also missing are the Master Men 35+ photos, what happened to them- I don't know. That's what happens when you go two days without sleep :-( Anyway, the photos can be found HERE.

Hudson Valley Cyclocross Race at Downing Park photos

I've finally completed post-processing two days worth of race photos from the 'Cross race at Downing Park in Newburgh, NY. It was a beautiful weekend at a well-run race at a spectacular venue. The views of the Hudson Valley were breathtaking to say the least. I made some wonderful contacts there that I hope can be built into future working relationships. The promoter Ed Burgess really went all out in putting this race on. As always, Thomas from Wafels & Dinges served up some excellent food. He's a great guy and makes the best waffles I've ever had.

In the end, I've post-processed and uploaded 2200 photos. I think I got a few spectacular 'cross shots at this race. As always, the photos can be found at my website. 2009 Charm City 'Cross photos

Being that I was up so early the night before, photographing EVERY race, walking the perimeter of the Nittany course like a dozen times, not taking a lunch break or relaxing AT ALL from beginning 'till end- I was exhausted. Even though I stayed in a hotel in Baltimore Saturday night, I choose to sleep in. I missed photographing the first race of the day and made it to the second, Womens/Juniors race. My kid was racing in the Juniors race. I photographed his race and the race after. I was planning on photographing all day, but I got a call from my Old Lady and she said she wanted me to come back to the VPCC and get some pictures of her at the "Girls on Track" clinic. Since getting laid was used as bait, I hightailed out of MD and made a beeline straight to the VPCC. She reeled me in hook, line, and sinker. The Charm City course was the best I've seen anywhere. I'm going to have to definitely stay for the whole race next year. At any rate, I photographed the CAT 3/4/Masters 45+ Women & Juniors and the B Men race. You can view the photos HERE.
